Terms of Service & Legal Notice

By visiting our site and/or purchasing products from Decor Base, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including all additional policies referenced herein.

1. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland (QLD), Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

2. Accuracy of Site Information & Trademark Notice

We endeavor to present accurate product descriptions, dimensional schematics, static weight capacities, and pricing. Independent Wall Hardware Brand Notice: Decor Base is an independent architectural wall decor and shelving hardware retailer. Decor Base is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by IKEA, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Bunnings Warehouse, or Hafele. Any comparative references are made strictly for functional specification, bracket dimensional standards (e.g., standard 12mm blind shelf rods), and technical installation clarity. Decor Base reserves the right to correct any inadvertent inaccuracies at any time without prior notice.

3. Structural Installation, Substrate Anchoring & Weight Limits

Wall Mounting Safety Warning: The load capacity of any floating shelf or hanging fixture depends entirely on the strength of the wall substrate and the fasteners used. To achieve maximum published load ratings, brackets MUST be securely anchored directly into structural wooden or steel wall studs, or into solid masonry/brick walls using appropriate masonry plugs. Fastening exclusively into hollow plasterboard/drywall using light plastic anchors significantly diminishes load capacity and presents a risk of wall tear-out. Load Distribution Advisory: Always distribute weight evenly across shelves; do not concentrate heavy loads on outer front edges. Decor Base is not liable for falling shelves, plasterboard damage, dropped pottery, or personal injuries resulting from improper wall installation, unanchored drywall mounting, or exceeding published weight limits.
